The Griffin Museum is pleased to present an afternoon of conversation with artist and collector Frazier King and Griffin Museum's Executive Director Crista Dix. The pair will talk about collaborating with artists, supporting careers through collecting, finding your vision and living with works you love. Frazier worked with Schilt Publishing to create a book featuring many of the works in his collection. We have the book on hand and following the conversation we will have books available for purchase and personalization. In addition to an essay by Mr. King this volume includes an essay by Wendy Watriss, co-founder and Senior Artistic Advisor of FotoFest, on the significance of collecting and the role of the collector. The third essay is by Madeline Yale Preston, an independent curator based in London, who addresses the role of the collector as curator and the historical evolution and importance of the constructed photograph.
