The Griffin Museum welcomes Eric Draper, Chief White House Photographer for George W. Bush. In his presentation, he'll discuss the creative path that led him to the White House, his tenure as Chief Photographer, and what happens after serving the most powerful person in the world.

We are so pleased to host a reception for photographer Frank Siteman to celebrate his series hanging on the walls of the Griffin @ WinCam (Winchester Community Access and Media)

Soaring above the earth, Frank captures our imagination with his view from above New England. These vibrant abstracts engage our imagination with what is and is not to scale.

Join us Saturday April 20th at 6pm for the celebration of the artists of our new exhibition, Huellas de Existencia | Traces of Existence, featuring Alejandro Cartegena, Muriel Hasbun, Ilena Doble Hernandez, Rodrigo Valenzuela, and Alejandro Morales. These artists speak to ideas of migration, history, reminiscence, family, and existence through their experimental photography, such as collage, visual juxtapositions, and physical manipulations.

The Griffin Museum is excited to have a special evening celebrating the lifetime creative work of Margo Cooper, Deep Inside the Blues, and benefitting the museum's exhibitions, programs and education. The Griffin Museum is pleased to welcome Rodrigo Valenzuela for a spring residency, courtesy of the Cummings Foundation. Beginning April 2nd, Valenzuela will work with Winchester High School students to create a site-specific installation in the Griffin Atelier Gallery, and outside behind the museum.

Join us in celebrating the installation's opening! Valenzuela will be in attendance, and we will have light refreshments and libations. This event is FREE and open to the public.

May is Photobook Month at the Griffin Museum! To celebrate, join us for a Photobook Celebration and Book Fair, featuring the renowned photographer, filmmaker and educator, Henry Horenstein.

From 11 AM to 2 PM, we welcome all to our book fair where artists and publishers can showcase and sell their books. Secure your table for only $75 to share and sign your photobooks with fellow enthusiasts. Not to be missed, the Griffin Museum will also offer a curated selection of photobooks for sale. We are pleased to celebrate the creative artists featured in Planting Roots | Growing Community, on view at Lafayette City Center Passageway from January 30 - April 30, 2024. These four photographers, Greg Heins, Ellen Harasimowicz, John Rich and Leann Shamash, through their lenses, share the quiet moments, the landscape and beautiful detail of our shared landscape, discover the roots of our local farms, and to celebrate the growth of the communities that tend them.
