A Better Chance (ABC)

Winchester ABC is a chapter of A Better Chance, Inc., a national nonprofit organization founded in 1963 to provide academically talented male and female scholars of color with expanded educational and career opportunities. Today, more than 1,000 African-American, Hispanic, Asian, and Native American scholars participate in A Better Chance programs in private and public college-preparatory schools throughout the country. Winchester ABC scholars attend WHS and become active members of the Winchester town community.

Ambrose Parent Teacher Organization

Ambrose is proud to have a very active and inclusive Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) dedicated to the enrichment of our students’ educational experience. Through generous Direct Appeal donations, we are able to support a number of programs and field trips throughout the school year. The PTO also helps organize parent volunteers to support a variety of school activities.  We encourage you to explore this web site to learn more about volunteer opportunities and to stay up to date with school happenings.

Ballet Arts Centre of Winchester

Ballet Arts Centre of Winchester was founded in 1990 with the goal of offering the Winchester area a unique, quality program of dance designed to meet the needs of a wide range of students of varying ages and levels. In the years since, the school has become an established and integral part of the community and is recognized as one of the area’s leading schools for quality dance training. In 1999 BAC performed its first "Nutcracker" ballet which continues still as a bi-annual performance, giving students of all ages the opportunity to audition and perform in a professional production.

A private, non-profit, Montessori school (the oldest Montessori primary school in New England), serving children ages two years five months to six years of age. Connect & Commit

Connect & Commit promotes community responsibility and civic engagement by expanding service-learning and community service opportunities for students in public schools in Winchester, Massachusetts. The primary focus is Winchester High School. Over 2,000 students have participated in projects on a wide range of topics.

Creative Corner School

We are a proud, family owned school for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education & Care. We are committed to supporting the needs of all families with inclusion our biggest priority.  We love and value the diversity within our community and school. Our play-based curriculum puts the needs of children first and foremost. Every child has a unique learning pathway. We acknowledge each pathway and work to develop each child with a curriculum that addresses the whole child.

Kid Connection

Kid Connection is a creative and engaging preschool program (ages 3–5 years) that supports early childhood learning and development in a nurturing environment. Our dedicated teachers guide children as they develop a love for learning through hands-on activities, exploration, and play. We offer a low teacher: child ratio, supporting the unique needs of each child. We are located at the Winchester Recreation Department, providing us with an expansive outdoor playground, large bright classrooms, and an indoor gym. Our preschool follows the Winchester Public School calendar (Sept.-June).
