John Huet is a renowned American photographer and director with a passion for creating compelling images. Growing up in a small town outside of Pittsburgh, John found his calling in photography while studying at a photography school in Florida. He has worked tirelessly to become one of the most sought-after creatives in the world, collaborating with some of the best in the industry and traveling extensively to capture breathtaking images.

John's work has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades, including having his photographs featured in galleries and museums across the US and Europe. He has published several books, including his critically acclaimed Soul of the Game: Images and Voices of Street Basketball.

John Huet is known for his career in editorial, advertising, and sports photography. His photographs have appeared on covers of major publications, including Vogue, Sports Illustrated, Life Magazine, ESPN Magazine and National Geographic, and his commercial clients include Nike, Coca-Cola, and the International Olympic Committee. His images are exhibited internationally, and he continues to push the limits of contemporary photography.

John was born in Tarentum, Pennsylvania, in 1958, the son of James A. Huet and Carol Thomas Mosely, a realtor and a substitute teacher respectively. He attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and studied photography, graduating in 1979 with honors.Recognized as one of the most acclaimed photographers of our time, John is best known for his images of athletes such as Michael Phelps, Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Serena Williams, and Roger Federer, as well as celebrities and politicians like Mitt Romney and Aretha Franklin. His commercial clients include Adidas, Reebok, Nike, Asics, Puma, Oakley, Nikon, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW Motorcycles. His editorial work has been featured in Sports Illustrated, ESPN Magazine, LIFE Magazine, National Geographic, Vogue India, Vanity Fair, GQ, and Time Magazine.After pioneering the use of athletes over models in sports advertising, John began a seven-year project entitled Soul of the Game: Images and Voices of Street Basketball (1997), combining his love of basketball with large-format, black and white portraits of Pee Wee Kirkland, Earl The Goat Manigault, Jackie Jackson, and Nate Archibald, playing on the most famous courts from Rucker Park in New York to Crenshaw High in L.A.

In addition to photography, John is a commercial director who has earned a reputation for streamlining the process of shooting stills and video on the same set. The authenticity of his work and passion has continued to serve him in the ever-changing world of digital media.
