Memorial Day Parade

The parade will assemble at 9:00am at the Winchester High School and step-off at 9:15am from Skillings Road and follow the route to Town Hall, where Civic Exercises will take place at the Edward F. O’Connell Memorial Plaza. Included in the line of march will be Senator Jason Lewis, Representative Michael Day, members of the Town Government, scouts and the Masons.

The Civic Exercise will include Rev. Earl Darlington who will deliver the Invocation and Benediction, Winchester High School Band, Boston Fireman’s Band, speakers Commander Festus McDonough, and the 6th grade essay winner will read her essay.

 All veterans are encouraged to join in Winchester’s observance of Memorial Day.

The parade route is as follows:

  • Parade step off, northbound (right) on Skillings to Main Street
  • Left on Main Street, Right on Church Street, Left on Waterfield Road 
  • Left on Mystic Valley Parkway, place wreath at WWI Memorial 
  • Continue down Main Street, right on Mt. Vernon Street
  • Pause in front of the Public Safety Building, continue to Edward F. O’Connell Memorial Plaza
