Summer Chamber Music Exploration 2024

For ages 7-12. Summer Chamber Music Exploration at WCMS is an introductory 3-day chamber music experience for string, piano and woodwind students. This program is ideal for students who have not yet played with an ensemble, or have just a couple of years of ensemble playing experience. They will learn the fundamentals of ensemble playing in a small group setting, expand their musical skills, develop performance skills, and explore music enrichment topics in a fun and nurturing environment.

For ages 9-18. The Summer Chamber Music Festival at WCMS is a two-week chamber music program for string, piano and woodwind students. Participants develop the art of ensemble playing, sharpen musical and performance skills, and explore creative and arts-related topics--all in a fun and nurturing environment.

Summer Piano Festival 2024: Monday, July 8 - Friday, July 12, 9:00-3:00 PM daily
For ages 8-14. Join us for five days of activities designed to bring pianists together in a fun, interactive piano ensemble program. Participants enjoy the social aspects of playing in an ensemble with one another, as well as learning the skills to play in a small group. There is currently a wait list for Piano Festival auditions.

No matter what instrument you play, we probably have an ensemble for you!
Ensembles at WCMS offer opportunities for students to be mentored by professional faculty members, play with other musicians, understand the roles of different band members, and perform in front of an audience. By connecting with other like-minded creative individuals, you'll cultivate relationships and develop your personal musical expression. Each ensemble will be curated by matching the level, age, and skill of the musicians, and scheduled based on the availability of coaches and participants.
