In 1930, the Winchester Garden Club was established by a group of women who were friends and loved gardening. Membership was limited to 40, as it is today, so that meetings could be held in members’ homes. Information about membership can be obtained from current members, and applications for membership should be submitted by sponsors by February 1.
Mission
To stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening and flower arranging; to aid in the protection of native trees, plants and birds; and to encourage civic beauty, conservation and environmental responsibility.
