Join us for an in person event with photographer Lana Z. Caplan. Her book Oceano explores the inhabitants, visitors and legacy of California's Oceano Dunes. Lana will be giving a talk about the book and photographic series and signing books after.

LWV Civic Leadership Award 2024

The League of Women Voters of Winchester is pleased to announce this year's Civic Leadership Award will be presented to Gloria Legvold. Gloria has provided a tremendous service to the community over many years through her work with the League, Winchester Unitarian Social Action & Outreach Committee, and the Network for Social Justice (formerly, the Winchester Multicultural Network). LWVW Open Meeting and Peer Discussion: What is Means to do DEI Work Intentionally

The League of Women Voters' open meeting is scheduled for January 16, 2024. After a brief business meeting, including an update on LWVUS centralized membership dues collection, we will view and discuss highlights from a recent LWVMA Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Peer Discussion Group Meeting on the topic: What it Means to do DEI Work Intentionally.

This is sure to be an informative discussion. A zoom invitation will be circulated closer to the meeting date.

On Saturday, March 2, we are holding coordinated state house assemblies in over 30 states, including at the State House in Boston. Our goal is to bring attention to the poverty in our midst, as well as other interrelated injustices. We hope to mobilize voters to participate in our democracy to bring about change toward justice for all and for the environment.
