The south half of the newly renovated Winchester Center station will be open for use on September 30, 2024. Inbound and outbound Commuter Rail service on the Lowell Line will resume at the Winchester Center station too. Construction on the north half of the station will continue until winter 2024.

On June 29, 2024, Winchester native Sean Bannon joined the ranks of an elite group of swimmers who completed the 21-mile crossing of the English Channel from Dover, England to Calais, France. Please join us to hear Sean's inspiring story and chat with him about why access to water and recreational resources are so important. The event is free and all ages are encouraged to attend.

Join us at the Griffin Museum for an afternoon presentation with photographers Jessica Hays and Melinda Hurst Frye as they discuss their current exhibition and the ideas shaping their work.

Bringing together two distinct photographic practices, as Above so Below explores the vision and questions around land use, stewardship, and shared resources. Hayes and Frye consider how we inhabit the landscape -- how land holds memory, labor, extraction, care, and consequence. Through their individual approaches, they reflect on the ways environments are shaped by human presence and policy, and how

The parade will start at Winchester High School, go down Main Street through the town center, and end at the WWI Memorial at Lincoln School, wrapping up at the Edward F. O'Connell Memorial Plaza.

The parade will assemble at 9:00am at the Winchester High School and step-off at 9:15am from Skillings Road and follow the route to Town Hall, where Civic Exercises will take place at the Edward F. O’Connell Memorial Plaza. Included in the line of march will be Senator Jason Lewis, Representative Michael Day, members of the Town Government, scouts and the Masons.

The Civic Exercise will include Rev. Earl Darlington who will deliver the Invocation and Benediction, Winchester High School Band, Boston Fireman’s Band, speakers Commander Festus McDonough, and the 6^th grade essay winner will read her
