Tour includes electric heat pump heating and cooling system, electric vehicle and Level 2 charging station, vegetable garden including rain barrel, and front yard recently converted from turf lawn to native pollinator-frendly plants (200+ plants).
Climate Solutions Week Transfer Station Tour with Transfer Station Director Nick Parle
Tons of materials that would otherwise end up burned or sent to landfills are instead recycled and reused, thanks to Winchester's Transfer Station. Tour includes Transfer Station's composting and recycling facilities, areas for yard waste disposal and recycling, the Swap Shop, clothing drop boxes, air conditioners, electronic waste and more.
