November Exhibitions | Artist Reception in Winchester

Join us for a special evening with Frazier King and Jo Sandman. We are so pleased to highlight the exhibition Collector's Eye featuring the works of over 40 photographic artists from all over the world. Known to emerging, mid career and established artists of the medium, Frazier has spent a lifetime supporting, collecting and collaborating with photographers celebrating the craft and artistry of photography. The Griffin Museum holds in it's collection select works of New England based mixed media artist Jo Sandman, and we are thrilled to show these works for the first time in an exhibition

Our Town Photowalk & Reception

We are thrilled to invite the community of Winchester to celebrate the artists of the exhibition Our Town, highlighted through its people and place with the creativity and sense of home as seen by its residents. Join us on the Griffin Rotary Terrace on Sunday September 15th at 4pm for a conversation with the photographers of this summertime celebration of our community. Photobook Celebration featuring Henry Horenstein

May is Photobook Month at the Griffin Museum! To celebrate, join us for a Photobook Celebration and Book Fair, featuring the renowned photographer, filmmaker and educator, Henry Horenstein.

From 11 AM to 2 PM, we welcome all to our book fair where artists and publishers can showcase and sell their books. Secure your table for only $75 to share and sign your photobooks with fellow enthusiasts. Not to be missed, the Griffin Museum will also offer a curated selection of photobooks for sale. Photosynthesis XIX Artists' Reception

Please join us in celebration of the wonderful students showing in Photosynthesis XIX, an exhibition of photographs by students at Winchester and Burlington High Schools. We'll honor these talented students' hard work and get a chance to meet their instructors and supporters.

Susan Weiss | The Orchard - Artist Talk & Book Signing

The Griffin Museum is pleased to present an evening with photographer Susan Weiss, the creative artist behind her new monograph, The Orchard.

Join us on Thursday November 7th, starting at 6.30pm at the museum in Winchester for a presentation by Weiss, with a book signing following the talk. Books will be on hand for purchase at this event. THE ORCHARD is the photographic study, created in an abstract manner, of an apple orchard in Vermont. Suzanne Theodora White Artist Talk

Join us Saturday July 20th at 2pm in the Griffin Museum for a special conversation with featured artist Suzanne Theodora White. Her exhibition, Dry Stone, No Sound of Water, is on the walls of our Atelier Gallery through August 28th. She will be discussing the ideas behind the work, and her technique in how the work is produced. Suzanne will also be available to sign her catalog, available in the museum shop.

A catalog of works has been produced and is now available in the Griffin Museum shop in Winchester and online.

Two Looks | In Conversation with Alex Webb & Rebecca Norris Webb

Join us for an in-person artist talk with Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Webb! We will begin the evening with a lecture, followed by a book signing and reception. The Webbs, who've published more than 20 books between them, will show a selection of work from both their individual and collaborative projects. Alex will present work from La Calle, a book of 30 years of his photographs from Mexico, and Rebecca will show work from her third book, My Dakota, and her new hybrid poetry book, A Difficulty Is a Light, punctuated by 15 of her photographs (Chose Commune, Fall 2024). Winchester Artists Exhibit Reception at the Library

Come celebrate great art and meet the artists at the reception for a month-long exhibit of artworks by members of the Winchester Artists Network. Artwork on view includes oil paintings, acrylics paintings, watercolors, collage, photography, textile art, ceramics, and mixed media work.
