Winchester Artists Network

The Winchester (Massachusetts) Artists' Network (WAN) is a working forum for local artists in our community. As an organization, and with the support of the Winchester Friends of Art, WAN promotes the increased presence of art in our community through exhibitions, education and excellence in the visual arts. Establishing connections among artists, educators, businesses, and community services remains our main goal.

Winchester Basketball Association

The Winchester Basketball Association (WBA) was established to provide opportunities for children in grades 3 through 11 to learn the fundamentals of basketball, while having fun. At the 5th through 8th grade levels, travel teams from the WBA compete in the MetroWest LLC league, which is made up of similar youth basketball organizations throughout Eastern Massachusetts. In grades 3 through 5, WBA players participate in local instructional clinics.

Winchester Community Music School

WCMS is a nonprofit organization serving more than 900 students from over 30 towns, including Winchester, Woburn, Stoneham, Lexington, Medford, Arlington, and Burlington. With almost 40 years of excellence in music education, an exceptional faculty, and a state-of-the-art facility, we provide the finest professional instruction and performance to our students, and a world of music to our community and beyond. We have music opportunities for all ages, from toddlers to teens and young adults to seniors. We offer private lessons as well as group classes, ensembles, and music therapy.

Winchester Cooperative Nursery School

Winchester Cooperative Nursery School offers a positive, first-school experience for preschool children and their families. WCNS provides a welcoming and supportive community that fosters learning and development in a nurturing environment. Working together, parents and teachers create a unique relationship that enhances opportunities for families to play, grow and learn together.

Winchester Cooperative Theater

The Winchester Cooperative Theatre for Children was founded in 1979 to provide elementary school children with the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive theatrical experience. In 1990 the program expanded to include a middle school production. We believe that children deserve professionalism in their exposure to theatre. Our staff consists of accomplished dramatic coaches, musicians, choreographers, stage, costume and lighting designers who support the children as they develop to their fullest potential.

Winchester Garden Club

In 1930, the Winchester Garden Club was established by a group of women who were friends and loved gardening. Membership was limited to 40, as it is today, so that meetings could be held in members’ homes. Information about membership can be obtained from current members, and applications for membership should be submitted by sponsors by February 1.
