Our 1st Annual Pickleball Tournament represents a new phase in our organization's history as we strive toward a vision of raising the level of Winchester's recreational facilities to best in class. The Friends of Winchester Recreation and Community Services, Inc. is a registered 501c(3) since 1991. Over the years, we have helped support the Winchester Youth Center, Kid Connection Preschool, and various other projects with grants of over $80,000 in 2024.
Format: Scramble Levels: Intermediate and Advanced (players can provide their rating if known) A pickleball scramble is a tournament where players sign up individually and are paired with different partners for each game. Players are awarded points for each match won within their pool, and individual statistics are tracked. After pool play, the top-ranked players move on to a single elimination medal round. In the playoffs, players are matched with a player from the other pool who has the same pool ranking.
