Presenting the Brio Short Film Festival, 8 short films by our interns July 30th from 6-7pm at WinCAM Gallery Space.
Many of our interns represent a diverse community with disability, see and hear their stories (most are only 1 minute and so'). We wanted to present their work in the month of July - Disability Pride month.
We will show the films between 6-7pm, light refreshments by Koshari Mama.
THIS EVENT IS FREE TO THE PUBLIC.
Wheelchair accessible.
Disability Pride Month happens every July to mark the ADA's anniversary, which was passed on July 26, 1990. The first celebration was a Disability Pride Day that took place in Boston in 1990. Chicago hosted the first Disability Pride Parade in 2004. Now there are events nationwide empowering people with disabilities to take pride in who they are.
