Winchester Community Music School

WCMS is a nonprofit organization serving more than 900 students from over 30 towns, including Winchester, Woburn, Stoneham, Lexington, Medford, Arlington, and Burlington. With almost 40 years of excellence in music education, an exceptional faculty, and a state-of-the-art facility, we provide the finest professional instruction and performance to our students, and a world of music to our community and beyond. We have music opportunities for all ages, from toddlers to teens and young adults to seniors. We offer private lessons as well as group classes, ensembles, and music therapy.

  • Our faculty of more than 60 performing artists offer private lessons in a wide range of instruments and voice. Our registrar can help you find a teacher who matches your interests and goals. New students can enroll at any time and can augment their music study with lessons in composition, song writing, recording/production, or music theory.
  • We offer ensembles of every style—chamber, jazz, rock, blues, and more. Whatever your preference, whatever your instrument—be it piano or percussion, voice or viola, bass or bassoon—you can be part of an ensemble. All levels welcome, from beginner to advanced.
  • Our group classes start at 18 months old, and we have more children's and adult learner music classes and sessions than ever.
