A private, non-profit, Montessori school (the oldest Montessori primary school in New England), serving children ages two years five months to six years of age. We provide a carefully crafted, beautiful environment where children gain independence, confidence, and essential skills for life-long creative thinking and learning.
We have four primary classrooms with a mixed age group of children 2.9 to 6 years of age, and children benefit by the three years with the same teacher and classmates. We also have a pre-primary classroom for our youngest children who may enroll when they are around 2 years.
Children’s Own School serves children from 15 months to 6 years of age. Located in a historic Victorian farmhouse that has been meticulously updated and expanded in Winchester, Massachusetts, our approach seeks to support the young child’s absorbent mind and to assist in their complete development.
