SUMMARY:New England Portfolio Reviews | NEPR
DESCRIPTION:Join us online for a weekend on connection\, creativity and education
September 27th / 28th\, 2025 at the New England Portfolio Reviews
(NEPR) for portfolio reviews with curators\, gallerists\, museum\,
book and editorial professionals in the field of photography. The
Griffin Museum of Photography is bringing you two days of portfolio
reviews this fall.Since 2009 NEPR has been produced by the Griffin
Museum with the mission of bringing reviewers and photographers
together from New England and beyond for two days of discussion\,
networking\, and gaining fresh perspective on one's work. NEPR serves
photographers who are just embarking on their careers\, and more
established photographers\, all hoping to reach new audiences and gain
fresh perspective on their work. The online format allows for an
expansion of participants in volume and in location including
reviewers such as gallerists\, book publishers\, museum
professionals\, critics\, educators and advisors from all over the
world who provide guidance and potential opportunities to grow artist
  practices.

The September 26th Keynote Speaker is Annu Palakunnathu Matthew\, is a
Professor of Art at the University of Rhode Island. She was also the
Director of the Center for the Humanities from 2014-2019 and the
2015-17 Silvia Chandley Professor in Peace Studies and Non-violence.
Her photo-based work draws on old photographs to re-examine historical
narratives in the US and South Asia. Though trained as a
photographer\, her work increasingly uses the ever expanding digital
toolbox and has moved into installations. The result is a blend of
still and moving imagery that shifts the viewer's perspective to
  question established and marginalized histories.
